Grace Academy Catholic Cottage School

Registrations are closed for the 2017-2018 Cottage program, Schola Rosa. All accepted families have been notified.

Cottage Schooling is an alternative form of education in which children are taught by one or more teachers at a location outside the home for a limited time during the week.

Grace Academy Catholic Cottage School students attend classes at Grace Academy part-time, while parents direct their education at home the rest of the week.  The schedule is similar to that of college, with students responsible for completing coursework and assignments between class meetings.
Grace Academy instructors review and teach each course in the curriculum and assist parents in grading student work.  Grace Academy students receive a traditional, classical, Catholic education by utilizing the Schola Rosa Curriculum.

Grace Academy is an independent private school offering a traditional Catholic education for homeschooling families, run by a board of directors consisting of parents concerned with the proper education of our Catholic youth and faithful to the Magisterium of the Roman Catholic Church.
We operate in the state of Maine as a 501(c)(3) tax exempt non-profit organization.
Grace Academy is listed in the Maine Department of Education’s Private School Directory and is seeking membership in NISAC, the National Independent Study Accreditation Council and NAPCIS, the National Association of Private Catholic and Independent Schools.

Grace Academy believes it is the parent’s right and responsibility to see to the proper education of their children.  We are here to assist parents in carrying out this tremendous responsibility whether they choose to enroll in our cottage school or to educate their children at home.
